Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14 1988) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. Her first Broadway role, she was her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She received her Tony Award for Best Featured actor in the Play to play Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director has spent most of her professional career working with famous directors and actors both in film and on television. Ashford will next be seen with Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently working in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. The film will be released in the form of an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway comeback will be on March 20, 2023. He is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. This show will be produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which brought you Hamilton. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series American Crime Story Impeachment.
